"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth..." (Genesis 1:1)
County Line Missionary Baptist Church was organized in the late 1800’s. The original church was located off of what is now Cheerful Lane. The plot of land on which County Line now stands was once a camp where people traveling by foot, or on wagons and buggies, would stop to rest. The stop became known as Jackson’s Camp.
In 1943, the original church was dismantled and moved to its present location on Chatham Road. The first worship service at the new location was held on October 24, 1943.
Between 1950 and 1980, many additions were made to the church, including a full basement, classrooms, Pastor’s study, and the building was brick veneered. The above picture is of the church after it was bricked.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Over the years, County Line has grown! A building once used as a funeral home, became the property of the church and was renovated to become the RAY (Religious Action Youth) Center. A home that was adjacent to the church was added to the church’s property, as well as the addition of a fellowship hall, classrooms, and church offices. The entrance to the fellowship hall is pictured above.
