Join us for morning worship and a Pre-Thanksgiving dinner immediately following service. The dinner is being sponsored by Meals on Wheels. Morning worship begins at 10:15 AM.

Monday, July 8, 2024 Vacation Bible School Starts!!

Vacation Bible School (VBS) will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights from 6-8 PM. We are looking forward to learning how to put Romans 12:2 into action. “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (KJV) Note: The bus will NOT be running this year. See you Monday at 6:00 PM!

Friday, June 7, 2024 Quilting Ministry Fish Fry

The Quilting Ministry will sponsor a Fish Fry from 10 AM until 2 PM at Wimbish Store on Highway 57. Plates will be $10.00. Each plate will consist of fish, fries, your choice of two vegetables, a dessert, and a beverage. The menu includes: Whiting, baked beans, collard greens, corn, cole slaw, French fries, chocolate cake, coconut cake, banana pudding and mandarin oranges.

Saturday, June 1, 2024 Vintage Vehicle Cruise-In

The Brotherhood of Moses will sponsor a Vintage Vehicle Cruise-In at Meadville Elementary School. It will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. There is no admission fee. Fish and chicken plates will be sold for $10.00. There will be an Early Bird Special for those who want to feature their vintage vehicle 1990 or older in the 2025 calendar. Sunday, February 25, 2024 Black History Play

On Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 2:00 P.M., at New Dearington Baptist Church (400 Smyth Street, Lynchburg, VA), will host the award-winning play: The Half That Was Told. This play was written and directed by Sis. Patricia Crews. Also, a delicious soul-food lunch will be provided for your dining pleasure.

Dr. Dillard was honored by the Fisherman Conference on November 4, 2023 with the Pioneer Award for community service.

Make plans to join us for our annual homecoming! The day will begin with Alter Prayer at 9:00 AM. Sunday School will begin at 9:15 AM, followed by Morning Worship at 10:15 AM. Join us to hear seven orators from seven different churches share on the seven last words of Jesus. Orators include Rev. Louis Hitchens, Rev. Finley Fields, Rev. Shirley Wimbish, Minister Connie Miller, Rev. Steve Hairston, Deacon James Dixon, and Rev. Donald Mayo. A repast will be served.

In celebration of Pastor Dillard’s 37th Pastoral Anniversary, an Appreciation Banquet will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the church. The guest preacher will be Rev. Artemus Dixon, pastor of the New Dearington Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA.
